Dongfeng Li, NWS, AWS D.F. is a highly acclaimed artist, renowned for his expressive watercolor portraits and figure paintings, blending traditional Chinese brush techniques with Western styles. He is known for his ability to capture deep human emotion, dignity, and unique character in his subjects. Mr. Li’s work has earned more than 60 awards in national and international watercolor exhibitions, including more than 20 First Place awards. He is a signature member in the National Watercolor Society and a Dolphin Fellow of the American Watercolor Society (a prestigious distinction awarded by merit to a select group of artists).

About the Workshop:
Using traditional still life as a method for instruction, Dongfeng Li will help guide students to:
- Identify and simplify complex shapes.
- Find the ‘drama’ in compositions.
- Keep colors, washes and brush strokes fresh and expressive
- Observe and practice color mixing and application methods
- Color temperatures observation and practice.
- Handle water consistency and timing on the paper.
- Manipulate brush strokes and washes to form a personal language for your watercolor.

The Fine Print:
- Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis
- Payment is due in full upon registration.
- Students will receive a registration confirmation letter by email within one (1) week after their check is received.
- You are considered fully enrolled once you have paid in full.
If you need to cancel:
- Cancellations made forty-five (45) days before the first day of class receive a full refund, less a 15% processing fee. To receive the refund, a written notification must be received forty-five (45) days or more before the beginning of the workshop to [email protected]. You will receive a cancellation confirmation email once your cancellation has been processed.
- Any cancellations made less than 45 days in advance of the first day will receive no refund.
