WASH 2026 Scholarship for the Arts

Our mission is to promote education in the arts, especially watercolor. Each year, we award a scholarship to a high school senior who demonstrates a love of art and plans to pursue a career in art with a degree from a junior college, a four-year college, a university, or an accredited art school.

Applicants may apply once they meet the criteria.

A successful candidate must:

  • Plan a career in the arts
  • Be a high school senior in Sacramento County
  • Submit a digital portfolio of six original pieces of art, including three in watercolor
  • Provide two letters of recommendation from an art teacher, counselor, or other faculty member
  • Submit an artist statement/essay
  • Complete and submit the full application by the deadline
