About Michal Jasiewicz:
An architect by profession. A renowned watercolorist who creates paintings that feel like stepping into a dream – misty forests, glowing skies, and vast horizons that breathe with light and movement..
Elements of architecture frequently appear in his works, though they are never represented directly; they are usually part of a broader cultural landscape. The coexistence of the natural landscape and human artifacts makes a remarkable material which enables the artist to create a half-realistic, half-poetic vision of the world, a vision as elusive as the changing light or seasons of the year. The resulting works are quite often inspired by a flash of light on a facade, shimmering surface of the water, billowing sky rather than by a particular object.
His works are held in collections in Europe, China, and the United States.

Artist’s Statement
The less I show, the more emotions and memories arise. If a painting simply depicts the way light falls on the scene, there’s more room for the viewer to add their own stories.

WASH Workshop Cancellation Policy
- Cancellation of a workshop by the person registered six (6) weeks or more prior to the first day of the workshop is 100% refundable less a $50 registration fee.
- Cancellations with less than six (6) weeks before the start: you may find a substitute to take your place or ask the workshop committee registrar to assist you, if there is a waiting list. It is the responsibility of the person registered to make his/her own reimbursement arrangements with the substitute. The workshop committee will not be involved.
- Once the workshop begins, there will be no refunds for no-shows or withdrawals.
- WASH reserves the right to cancel workshops due to insufficient enrollment or other reasons beyond our control. If WASH cancels a workshop, applicants will receive a full registration fee refund. Any non-registration fees including hotel, airfare, car rental fees, etc. are not covered by WASH.
